Ear Candling

Ear Candling

This deeply relaxing treatment may be beneficial for people with rhinitis, sinusitis, catarrh, glue-ear, sore throats, hayfever, headaches, tinnitus and excess ear wax.  Includes a facial massage.

There is evidence of ear candling and ear cones being used across many ancient cultures including the Ancient Greeks who used the therapy for cleansing and purifying on a spiritual level and later on a physical level.  There is also evidence of this practice in Siberia, Asia, Egypt, China and North andSouth America.  These cultures made candles and cones from various materials including glazed clay, stone cones, rolled paper and thin cloth.

Ear candling can help with:

  • Tinitus, compacted ear wax and glue ear
  • Sore throats and hay fever
  • Headache and migraine
  • Sinusitis and rhinitis
  • Catarrh and asthma
  • Vertigo
  • Menier’s Disease
  • Neuralgia

The candles work on a chimney principle, drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. They equalise the pressure in the head and ears, making them suitable for most conditions. Secretion flow is gently stimulated and the vapour collects and removes impurities or deposits. Most of these are carried away through the candle “chimney”, although some of them can be found in the condensed candle wax residue after removal from the ear, or could even work their way up to the surface 24-48 hours after.

I give a lymphatic drainage facial after this treatment because the energy flow in the body is stimulated by the ear candles, this in turn stimulates the Lymphatic System.  A lymphatic drainage massage  re-enforces this process and maximizes the benefits of the treatment.

  • Ear candling is a deeply relaxing treatment
  • Works on Meridian Channels helping to stimulate the energy flow in the body
  • Helps to cleanse, energise and unblock the chakras
  • Similar to smudging the aura to eliminate negativity from the energy field
